From 1st January 2009 every dwelling regardless of its age when being sold or rented has to have by law, a Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificate prior to being offered for sale or rent. In addition, existing tenants have the right to request a BER certificate at any time during the term of their tenancy.   

Both Maura and Sharon from this office are trained and certified in Building Energy Rating assessments (BER) and can advise our clients to ensure their properties are compliant with all BER legislation.  This has been made possible by combining our expertise with that of an experienced BER Assessment company based in Carlow who have a significant number of assessments already completed.  Together we offer as efficient and cost effective a service as possible to our clients. 

We will ensure that the correct Certificate is in place at the right time when tenants are moving into accommodation so that there is no time delay, especially important when potential loss of rent is concerned.  In addition to BERs, our Assessment partner can also offer air tightness testing and thermal imaging.
